Chivas was releasing a limited-edition 30-year old single malt whisky and wanted ideas for a coffee table book to accompany it. The brief was given to the entire creative department for just an afternoon. Of the ideas presented, Chivas chose this one - a book, written in chronological order, comparing the time it took to create world-famous icons. The book begins with the 5 minutes it takes to hand-roll a Cuban Cigar and ends with the 30 years it takes to mature your bottle of Chivas single malt. Other chapters include the 7 months it takes to make a traditional Japanese Katana, the 4 ½ years it took to paint the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, the 11 years it took Ducati to create a world-beating engine, and the 21 years it took to build the Golden Gate Bridge.
